2009

It is true that there are a lot of good things that have happened in this past year, and there are a lot of bad things that didn't happen, and of the things that did happen, they could have been a lot worse than they were ... so I have to be thankful for my blessings.

However, I've got to say, 2009 was AWFUL.  With less than a week left, God, please, redeem this year yet!

  1. I wanted to tell you that for at least one family, God answered your prayer about redeeming this year Sharon. On Christmas day Natalie Flores, a 5 year old girl, was abducted from in front of her two siblings, ages 7 and 9, by a stranger. This happened at aprox 2 in the afternoon on Christmas. By 9:30 she was found and she was ok!!
That is such good news. I just wanted you to know this. It happend in AZ.
Happy New you to you and as always your in my thoughts and prayers. As is Michaela.

  4. "heart-shattered lives ready for love don't for a moment escape God's notice."
    (psalm 51:17, the message)

on my knees and on my face tonight for you and michaela, sharon. trusting God's Word for both of you...that not for one moment...not one moment of all these painful years...have either of you escaped His notice. He is El Roi, the God who sees (genesis 16). He sees and is holding you, sharon. and He sees and is holding michaela, wherever she is.

"but you do see! indeed you note trouble and grief, that you may take it into your hands; the helpless commit themselves to you; you have been the helper of the orphan."
    (psalm 10:14)

bless you, sharon. with love and tears and so much respect....

  6. Sharon, I think of you and Michaela often. I am also a Christian, and I pray for you and Michaela. I do not know why, but I feel Michaela is still among us in this world. I pray she finds the strength to reach out to you. When Jaycee was found, I so wanted Michaela to be there with her. I read about the reaction Michaela's friend had upon seeing a photo of Jaycee'e kidnapper. I feel her reaction is recognition. I was the victim of someone who exposed himself to me one afternoon on the way home from school, and I was in such shock, I was unable to describe this person to police, but let me tell you this, when I saw him a few months later, I had a visceral reaction to him, and almost threw up. I recognized him immediately. It is like a mark so deep, you are not aware of it , consciously. I will continue holding you and Michaela up in prayer.

  7. I first read about Michaela's disappearance on charley project a few years ago, and her story has been in my heart ever since. I live near where Jacob Wetterling was abducted, and a missing child is something that haunts you, whether you know them or not.
I just want to applaud you for how strong you have been by keeping hope and keeping Michaela's memory alive. Jaycee came home alive, and I believe Michaela will too-she's just waiting to be found.
I have made a blog- http://www.deaniepeters-missingangels.blogspot.com/ that is my effort to keep our missing angels' stories alive. Awareness is key and I believe the more places we get their faces, the more likely they are to be seen or remembered. I would love to write Michaela's story on there, and even include a letter from her to you as well.
Give me a holler, if you'd like me to do that at bunnyluv_diva15@hotmail.com
    Much Love & Support,
