questions without answers

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart
and try to love the questions themselves
like locked rooms and books that are written in a foreign tongue.

Do not now seek the answers
which cannot be given you
because you would not be able to live them.
And the point is to live everything.

Live the questions now.
Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it,
live along some distant day into the answer.”

Rainer Maria Rilke

"Habe Geduld gegen alles Ungelöste in deinem Herzen und versuche,
die Fragen selbst lieb zu haben,
wie verschlossene Stuben oder ein neues Buch,
das in fremder Sprache geschrieben ist.

    Forsche nicht nach Antworten,
    die dir nicht gegeben sind,
weil du sie nicht leben kannst.
Und darum handelt es sich doch:
    alles zu leben.
    Lebe jetzt die Fragen!

Vielleicht lebst du dann eines neuen Tages,
    ohne es zu merken,
    in die Antwort hinein."

  2. Have faith in the Lord
Who has all the answers even if we do not
    Know he is watching
    Loving us
    Protecting us
'Revenge is mine he says' and God always keeps his promises

  3. Dear Sharon - I was one of those that posted a comment about praying for your regained faith. You are right - you were venting and just simply needing to let it out. I am sure your heart has days like that...as we all do. You are so very strong and honest in your writings. I enjoy reaading them very much. I pray for Michaela to come home. Keep your heart strong.
