Merry Christmas, Michaela! I wanted to send you a picture of our Christmas tree -- ours meaning yours also. You remember how each child always had a special ornament, one dated with the year of birth? Well, I still hang yours on the tree for you every year.

My only daughter, Lisa, was born in 1979. So this this breaks my heart, in so many ways. But what we've learned is that we have to hang onto each other for comfort and for love.
