Dream About Michaela

  1. Sharon, you have probably thought of this already, but have you considered using the Ancestry DNA testing in your search? I am not sure if it would help but who knows? I hope that you find Michaela and can hold her close again.

  2. Hi, Sharon. I guess it's fair to assumpt you have tried every way of getting help with finding Michaela, but i'll ask anyway: have you tried reaching out to hackers? Some who could help trace down the illegal human trafficking deals you're mostly focused on following

  3. Have you seen the drawing of "Tony" that are on Noreen Gosch's website? She claims it's one of her son's abductors and that the sketch is from 1982 but I'm pretty sure she's using the sketch of Michaela's abductor, and I find it pretty odd.

    1. You are right. She is using a drawing from Michaela’s case, which was created in 1989. Unfortunately, Noreen doesn’t seem to care about what’s true.

    2. Wow. It's really odd to deliberately use a completely irrelevant sketch and claim that it's one of her son's abductors, for so many reasons. It won't help find Johnny. I immediately recognized the sketch as Michaela's abductor, but other readers of her blog might not be as eagle-eyed and giving misleading information could deprive attention from the real abductor of her son. Also, I find this very disrespectful towards Michaela, as this is a sketch of HER abductor, based on HER friend's testimony, done to try and solve HER case.

    3. Noreen knows full well this sketch is from Michaela’s case. We appeared together in a television program about it after it was released, along with several other mothers. Noreen kept saying that her son was the most famous kidnapping victim ever. I mean, who cares? I am as anxious that Johnny be found as Michaela. But I get the impression attention is the all important thing there. I also do not believe that Johnny came home for a visit and she just let him walk away. I’d have been attached to Michaela’s ankle if that happened.

    4. Wow. What an incredibly odd thing to say about your missing child. Up until now I assumed that Noreen had only good intentions. Now I'm not so sure.

  4. I'm sorry you have been coping with this. My friends daughter, Heather Teague, was abducted many years ago. She is like you . She will never give up. My heart and prayers for you ma'am.

    1. It’s on the blog page, Zahra. Just like this site, seekers road has many pages, but the blog is not the home page. Maybe it should be, I don’t know.

  7. Sharon, Just FYI...I think finding your updated postings on your new blog is not self explanatory. Most people are used to this format where your postings are just on the front page. And most people probably want to be able to come to the blog and not search. Just my 2 cents from someone who does not know much. I saw your posting on Patreon...I think it's great your are doing it. A link to that should probably be put on the homepage of your blog so people are notified immediately of the support.

P.S. do you get the name and contact info from the people who donate or just the funds? i.e., what is the confidentiality / privacy protocal?

Lastly I'm sorry about the crapy medicare payments! It's my understanding that there are some additional supplements out there if you make less than a certain amount. e.g., opportunities for reduced PG&E through CARE program, reduced utilities, food stamps, stipend for your husband if he has to care for you, funded disabled transport, and some other things. Just throwing that out there as options in case you qualify. You have paid into the system for years and there should be no shame if you need extra government crutch. Heck even if you hadn't, it is there for people who are qualified to use it.

Good Luck and Many Blessings Sharon.

    1. I think you are right, because I have heard from other people that "I can't find your blog." I will look into other themes to see if it can be changed to make more sense. But I do want to populate different pages in the blog and have people visit them. There is a page that takes you directly to the Dear Michaela blog also, and I would like people to use that. I do say on the first page to read the blog with a link, but I will see what else can be done. There is actually a blurb about the Patreon on the first page, and I have it pinned to the top of the blog. And yes I do receive information about who is donating through Patreon, and every little bit does help. I think it's only a few dollars a month right now, but that little bit actually helps.

My husband works, and I have medical insurance through him thank goodness. I'm just still trying to figure out exactly what "maximum out of pocket" is supposed to mean, since I keep receiving bills far and above that amount We actually make too much for any of those help programs, and let me tell you, you don't have to make too much to not qualify! We live in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is one of the most expensive places in the country to live, but it's where we are stuck for now, because it's where work is, and where family is.

Thanks so much for your input. I appreciate it.

  8. My heart breaks for you. I can not imagine not knowing, needing answers and hoping but never finding out. I pray that you can find peace in your heart, your words are so sweet. she is a lucky girl to have a mother like you who has never stopped looking. your fight to find answers is inspiring, If it wasn't for you and all your facebook post and websites no one would know your story and that makes me sad. I wish someone would fight for you and help you find the answers you need. my prayers are with you and your daughter
